The Jacksonville Jaguars have unveiled their brand new uniforms for the 2018 NFL season. I know someone spoiled them putting up banners in Jacksonville Airport, but I wanted to see the full real pictures of the uniform and not just a graphic rendering before I made a decision and well folks, they’re good.
“True to our current identity and what we want to represent for years to come, our new uniforms are no-nonsense, all business and unmistakably Jaguars,” Jaguars owner Shad Khan said in a team release.
“Tradition has returned to Jacksonville.”
It’s a classic look, though I’m sure there will be a lot of complaints about them being too “basic” or plain, but honestly I think that works the best. The block lettering really sticks out for me and the simple color scheme works. Some of the best uniforms are the most basic.
“I wanted to see the return of tradition, I wanted to see the distinctiveness, I wanted the shiny black helmet with a beautiful Jaguars logo,” said Jaguars Executive Vice President of Football Operations Tom Coughlin. “I wanted to be represented that way. Just exactly how I’ve explained it: the classic Jaguar uniform. To a player, the uniform means everything. Because when you put that uniform on you not only represent your franchise, your team, your community; you represent your family. You represent your parents, your wife, your children, everything packed into one because your name is on the back of that uniform.”
What do you think of the new uniforms? Like them? Hate them? Any particular part of them you like or don’t like specifically? Let us know in the comments.
