We’re 22 days out from the 2018 NFL Draft. Every day between now and then we’ll be predicting a different team’s draft pick until we get to the Jacksonville Jaguars!
The No. 6 overall pick is in and with 1,153 total votes cast, the Indianapolis Colts are selecting offensive lineman Quenton Nelson with nearly two-thirds of the vote.
2018 BCC mock draft results
No. 1: Cleveland Browns — QB Sam Darnold
No. 2: New York Giants — RB Saquon Barkley
No. 3: New York Jets — QB Josh Rosen
No. 4: Cleveland Browns — DE Bradley Chubb
No. 5: Denver Broncos — QB Baker Mayfield
No. 6: Indianapolis Colts — OL Quenton Nelson
Now it’s the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the No. 7 overall pick.
Possible picks
- CB Josh Jackson — As the top-rated cornerback, I have to expect the Buccaneers will look to upgrade their secondary in the first round. He’s one of the favorites.
- SS Derwin James — He’s so, so good, y’all.
- LB Tremaine Edmunds — Bradley Chubb would be the automatic pick if he were here, but he’s not so why not go with Edmunds out of Virginia Tech? He can rush the passer, he can cover in the passing game, he plugs run gaps well — go get him.
- FS Minkah Fitzpatrick — If the Buccaneers want to upgrade their secondary with a versatile defensive back, they could make Fitzpatrick the dark horse pick here.
