The Jacksonville Jaguars held their Day 1 practices for offseason training activities on Tuesday. Football is back (sort of!) and you bet we’re going to over-analyze every bit of information coming out of practice.
Below is your one-stop shop for all the tweets, pictures, videos, and more you may have missed.
Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye absent
The Jaguars’ starting cornerbacks were absent from the voluntary practices and although they’ve communicated with head coach Doug Marrone that they wouldn’t be there, people still cared.
Certainly they don’t have to show up, but I think it would’ve sent a great message if Jalen Ramsey & AJ Bouye would’ve shown for 1st day of OTA’s. #Leaders #Jaguars

Ramsey and Bouye only two missing from OTA’s. Interesting. Voluntary. Big story in May because it’s May. No reason given for absence. Outside of that, business as usual as #Jaguars get going in OTA’s. #ASJax

Here is why you shouldn’t care and here is a list of 101 things that literally matter more than two All-Pro cornerbacks missing practice in their underwear.
Blake Bortles looked sharp
It’s passing drills where he’s not seeing a live pass rush, but Bortles still had some good passes in his first day of offseason practice.
It’s a little tough to see but this was Bortles’ best pass in today’s OTA: Nice over the shoulder pass and catch by Keenan Cole with a defender draped on him. pic.twitter.com/Z8W3YzSp3A

Looked like Blake Bortles threw the ball well today for the most part. Keelan Cole made several impressive catches. He continues to ascend every time he's on the field. #Jaguars

#Jaguars OTAs: My Day 1 Thumbs Up: Bortles, Chark, Cole, Telvin, Taven, Calais, Fournette, Church, Moncrief, Grant and Logan Cooke.

Keelan Cole stole the show
Again, a meaningless practice as the defense isn’t fully on the field, but this is an impressive catch from second-year receiver Keelan Cole.

Doug Marrone is still very handsome
This is the most important takeaway from Day 1.
