The 2019 mock drafts are rolling in, folks! Just a few days ago, Dan Kadar released his predictions for next offseason and now ESPN’s Todd McShay has released his — and the consensus is (again) that the Jacksonville Jaguars will draft a quarterback.
This time he’s from Missouri. This should turn out well.
17. Jacksonville Jaguars
Drew Lock, QB, Missouri
Lock went back to school for his senior season, despite leading the SEC in passing yards (3,964) and passing yards per attempt (9.5).
Kadar compares Lock to Josh Allen, who was taken at No. 7 overall by the Buffalo Bills.
“If you’re someone who liked Josh Allen in this year’s draft, Lock is similar in some ways,” Kadar wrote. “He’s a big quarterback at 6’4 and 225 pounds and a solid athlete. And like Allen, he’s struggled with accuracy, completing 58.2 percent of his passes last season.”
What do you think? Will Blake prove he’s the long-term answer this year? Or will the Jaguars make a move for a quarterback after another good-but-not-good-enough season?
