Big Cat Country is celebrating its 12th birthday this summer and with the Jacksonville Jaguars looking to build on their first playoff season since 2007, we need to add to the team!

What we want in writers

• Extensive knowledge of the Jaguars, the NFL and football in general
• Strong writing skills (excellent grammar and spelling are a must)
• Previous writing experience desired

Positions available

• Weekends Editor: You will write primarily on Saturday and Sunday, focusing on game day coverage — including a live blog for games, recaps and analysis shortly after the game. You’ll also be responsible for monitoring the news on weekends and providing coverage on newsworthy and relevant content. Expectation is for 5-6 posts per week.
• Community Manager: You will moderate comments on the Big Cat Country homepage as well as on social media channels, adding to the conversations, answering questions from readers, and more.
• Fantasy Sports Columnist: You will be writing fantasy football related content about the Jacksonville Jaguars — including start/sit weekly previews, betting lines and odds, and more. Knowledge of daily fantasy sports sites such as FanDuel and DraftKings is a must. Expectation is 2-3 posts per week.
• Contributor: This is the bread and butter of Big Cat Country. You will be writing during the week on timely Jacksonville Jaguars content — whether it’s breaking news, opinion and editorial writing, film breakdowns, scouting opponents, or more. Expectation is 2-3 posts per week.
