The inaugural championship game of the American Flag Football League, which provides a “Pros vs. Joes” format in a 7 on 7 flag football tournament and has been televised nationally this summer on NFL Network, will feature a “Pros” team that includes several former Jaguars players.
Former Jaguars running back Justin Forsett will captain the team known as “Godspeed”, along with fellow former Jags cornerbacks, Alan Ball & Charles James II.
Forsett and Ball both played for the Jags as part of Gus Bradley & Dave Caldwell’s initial free agency class in 2013. James is a Jacksonville native, playing his high school ball at Mandarin High School, but his career with the Jaguars was brief as he was signed mid-camp last summer, before being released during the final 53-man cut down.
The AFFL championship game will be televised on NFL Network this Thursday, July 19th, at 8 PM EST, with the teams playing for $1 million to the winner.
