POLL: Will Leonard Fournette rush for at least 1,150 yards in 2018?

Divisional Round - Jacksonville Jaguars v Pittsburgh Steelers Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images

The Jacksonville Jaguars only had Leonard Fournette for 13 games last year, but he still racked up 1,040 yards on the ground and a near 4.0 yards per carry average.

Now BetOnline.ag has the over/under at 1,150 yards for Fournette’s 2018 regular season and we have to ask — do you think he’ll get there?

Common sense would say, “Yeah, of course.” After all, Fournette is healthy again, the Jaguars invested heavily in the run game in free agency, and Chris Ivory — who took 112 carries last year away from the other running backs — is gone. Even if those carries were split evenly among Fournette, T.J. Yeldon, and Corey Grant, that would still give Fournette an extra 37 touches. If his 3.9 yards per carry holds next year, that’s an additional 144 yards right there, bringing him up to nearly 1,200 yards on the year.

But what if the Jaguars are 9-3 or 10-2 as the regular season starts to wind down? The team could rest Fournette for the playoffs and sit him for much of the final stretch of games, leaving him just shy of 1,150 yards.

What do you think? Is Fournette going to improve upon his total from last year? Will he eclipse 1,150 yards? Will Blake Bortles do well enough to where Fournette isn’t facing as many 8-man boxes as he was last year?
