The Jacksonville Jaguars reported for training camp on Wednesday, but one of their biggest stars is going to miss the beginning part of camp. Jaguars All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey is going to miss the start of camp because of the birth of his his daughter.
“... I want to let everyone know that I’ll be in Tennessee with my family, and as soon as I’m comfortable knowing my family is healthy and happy, I’ll return to Jacksonville to rejoin my teammates on our quest to handle some unfinished business,” Ramsey posted on his Twitter account.

Congrats to Ramsey and hopefully everything is good with the mother and his child and both are in good health.
I’m sure the Jaguars were well aware of this being a possibility and Ramsey missing a week or so of practice ultimately doesn’t really matter. Ramsey is one of the hardest working, self-motivated players on the roster, so he should be good to go when he returns.
