Yannick Ngakoue became a Pro Bowl defensive end just two years into the league, but he’s not done learning and he’s not done getting better.
The Jacksonville Jaguars’ best edge rusher has displayed a new finishing move and a slightly different technique in training camp so far and when asked about it he credited All-Pro pass rusher Von Miller with the help.
“Going back to the Pro Bowl, just chilling with my big bro Von [Miller], we just talk about pass rush a lot and that’s the side he loves to rush on a lot. Just kind of picked his brain a little bit about what moves to work on that side and he picked my brain on what moves to work on the other side so I could help him out, so that’s probably where I got that from.”
With 20.0 sacks, 10 forced fumbles, two passes defended, and an interception (along with a touchdown last season) Ngakoue could rest on his laurels but instead he’s getting help from a three-time All-Pro linebacker and former Super Bowl MVP.
Let’s go.
