Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan has issued a statement in response to a deadly shooting at a Madden NFL video game tournament at the at the GLHF Game Bar at the Jacksonville Landing.

“It’s impossible to comprehend today’s news. I am heartbroken for the family and friends of the victims and can only express my deepest condolences as we try to understand why and how this can happen, not only here, but anywhere. What I can say is I know today what lifelong Jacksonville residents have known forever — we are resilient, compassionate, and remarkably supportive of our neighbors and friends, particularly in the most trying occasions. This tragedy will ask the best of all of us but I know we will respond.”

In an afternoon press conference the sheriff’s office said they believed there was only one suspect involved, who was killed at the scene. Police have not released details on the shooter, or how many victims were involved — but Mike Kaye of First Coast News is reporting that three people died, and another 11 were injured in the attack.
