Pro Football Focus is charting everything when it comes to the NFL in 2018 and that includes the preseason — where backups again excelled against their competition.
So who was the cream of the crop? Let’s check in with Pro Football Focus:
Offense
- Donte Moncrief was effective running his routes against the Falcons. His 2.95 yards per route run was tied for the fifth most by a wide receiver in Week 3.
- Josh Wells was the highest graded tackle in the third week of preseason. He earned an 86.5 offensive grade and dominated in the run game with a run block grade of 89.0
Defense
- Myles Jack dominated when rushing the passer against the Falcons. His 86.7 pass rush grade ranked third among linebackers in Week 3.
- Jarrod Wilson had the seventh best grade of any safety in Week 3. He excelled in coverage with a 78.8 coverage grade which ranked third.
