Jaguars cuts tracker: Tracking Jacksonville roster moves, trades, rumors, updates, and more

NFL: Jacksonville Jaguars at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Douglas DeFelice-USA TODAY Sports

Now that the preseason is officially over, the Jacksonville Jaguars will soon begin their 2018 NFL roster cuts. The Jaguars have until 4:00pm EST on Saturday, September 1 to get their roster down to the regular season 53-player limit.

Stay tuned to this thread for lives updates on Jaguars cuts, trades, rumors, and more. The Jaguars might not officially confirm their roster moves until Saturday afternoon but some of their moves will slowly leak out through media reports before then. Hence the need for this tracker.

Cuts and updates

4:58 PM: Even with Marqise Lee gone for the year, UDFA wide receiver Allen Lazard doesn’t make the final 53. Roster stands at 83.

4:50 PM: Brandon Wilds is released by the team, despite more rushing yards in the preseason than fellow running back Tim Cook. We’ll see if Cook makes it over Wilds. Roster stands at 84.

4:23 PM: Former Florida tight end DeAndre Goolsby has been waived/injured. Roster stands at 85.

1:39 PM: One less tight end on the roster as David Grinnage is released. Roster is at 86.

1:34 PM: Great story from UDFA Tre Herndon. He most likely beat out Jalen Myrick for the No. 5 cornerback spot.

1:12 PM: Jaydon Mickens is safe!

1:01 PM: Michael Dunn has been reportedly released. Roster stands at 87.

11:25 AM: Carroll Phillips has been cut. Roster is at 88 — the team never replaced Marqise Lee (thanks, Mike!)

10:03 AM: The Jacksonville Jaguars will likely be busy on the waiver wire this weekend. Here are 22 players they should absolutely target.

9:46 AM: Here’s what we think the 53-man roster will look like by weekend’s end. What about you? Alfie’s version | Ryan’s version

9:30 AM: The Jaguars roster currently stands at 90 players. 37 moves to make before the deadline.
