Jaguars cut roster to 53

NFL: Jacksonville Jaguars at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Jonathan Dyer-USA TODAY Sports

The Jacksonville Jaguars released and/or waived-injured 30 players this afternoon, reducing their roster to the mandated final 53-man squad that will compose the 2018 Jaguars.

Unlike previous seasons of the past decade or so, today’s cuts left little more than the official announcement in terms of any real surprises, as the team has been all but set outside of some bottom of the roster competitions.
