The game Jaguars fans have waited nine months for has finally arrived, as the Jaguars open up their 2018 home schedule against the defending AFC champion New England Patriots, in a rematch of last year’s controversial AFC title game.
Needless to say, this is the biggest regular season home game in well over a decade, and the excitement is palpable.

How to watch
Need to find out how to watch, stream, or listen to today’s game? We got you covered here.
7:29 PM: The Jaguars get the ball back after a quick New England touchdown, and are able to milk the clock. They have done it! They beat the GOAT Tom Brady & the Patriots, 31-20. Thanks for hanging out with me tonight, lets all go get trashed!
7:06 PM: TOUCHDOWN! Jaguars score on the drive’s opening play as Blake Bortles hits Dede Westbrook on a crosser and Westbrook and the downfield receivers do the rest taking it 64 yards for a score! I AM ERECT! Jaguars 31- Patriots 13, 7 minutes left in the game. IT’S HAPPENING, FOLKS!
7:02 PM: After the Jaguars offense stalls and punts to the Patriots, the Jags defense forces a 3 & out, as Doug Marrone successfully wins a challenge to force a 4th & short and a Patriots punt,
6:50 PM: DANTE F’ING FOWLER gets the sack/strip/fumble recovery on Brady, in an absolute pivotal moment!
6:45 PM: Patriots take the ball and move into field goal range before the defense holds. Gotskowski field goal makes it a little closer, 24-13 Jags. Then Bortles throws an interception over the middle...I cant believe this shit.
6:36 PM: Jaguars go 3 & out, and Logan Cooke punts downed at Pats 40.....not ideal.
6:31 PM: The Patriots take advantage and drive down the field, finishing off with a Brady touchdown pass to Chris Hogan...with Jalen Ramsey in coverage. They cannot let the turnover suck the momentum away. Keep doing what they’re doing on offense. Jaguars lead 24-10, with a little over a minute left in the 3rd.
6:23 PM: Jaguars turn it over the first time for either team, as rookie DJ Chark catches a slant that was good for a JAgs first down and has the ball knocked out of his arms by a Pats defender and recovered by New England. They take over just inside Jaguars territory.
6:19 PM: Jaguars defense forces a three and out, as Brady misses Dorsett long on 3rd & 5 with Tyler Patmon in good coverage. Of note on the drive, Calais Campbell had to leave the game after being poked in the eye. The Jags have been using A LOT of rotation all over the defense this game.
6:12 PM: The Jaguars open the second half in aggressive style, as Blake Bortles and Keelan Cole continue to have a day against a Pats defense that looks tired and lost. The offense drives to the New England 12 yard line, eating up nearly half the 3rd quarter, but stalls inside the 10, leading to a Josh Lambo field goal. 24-3 Jaguars.
5:44 PM: TOUCHDOWN! The Jaguars learned from their mistakes made 9 months ago. They get the ball back and march the length of the field using aggressive passes from Blake Bortles to Keelan Cole, Dede Westbrook, and Corey Grant, and finishes it off with a 4 yard TD pass to Austin Seferian-Jenkins. Bortles is going to close the half 17/25 for 200 yards & 3 TDS...yes, that’s right. Jaguars will take a 21-3 lead into half time and get the ball after half.
5:28 PM: The Patriots offense gets going, driving 86 yards as the defense for the Jags fails to generate much pressure, and Telvin Smith gets hit with a bs 15 yard personal foul penalty for leading with the helmet. However, the Jags hold after Brady leads them inside the 10, with great coverage by Smith and Bouye on separate plays to hold the Pats to a field goal. 14-3 Jaguars with 2:40 left in the first half.
5:14 PM: For the first time today the Jags punt it but down it inside the 5. THe Jags had a good drive going again, but a hands to the face penalty on Andrew Norwell discounted a converted 3rd & short.
5:07 PM: Jaguars once again play good defense and force the Patriots to punt. Jags take over at their 20. Good pressure being applied by the Jags DL thus far.
5:04 PM: Here’s THE catch by Keelan Cole.
4:58 PM: TOUCHDOWN! Blake Bortles hits Keelan Cole on a 24 yard pass for a Jaguars TD! Earlier in the drive, Bortles hit Cole on what was the catch of the early NFL season as Cole one handed the ball down the sideline OBJ style. Bortles so far 10/13 123 yards, and 2 TDS....in first quarter! Jaguars lead 14-0.
4:52 PM: Update on Cam
Jaguars LT Cam Robinson (knee) is questionable to return. https://t.co/Z3guFSE0bG— Michael DiRocco (@ESPNdirocco) September 16, 2018
4:50 PM: The Jaguars defense forces a three and out, as on 3rd & 1, Abry Jones and Malik Jackson penetrated the middle of the line to knock back Sony Michael for a loss of 1. Jags take over at their own 18.
4:45 PM: TOUCHDOWN! Blake Bortles caps a 54 yard drive, with an 8 yard touchdown pass to receiver Donte Moncrief. The Jaguars got a fortuitous bounce when Dede Westbrook fumbled on a screen pass into the arms of DJ Chark. Corey Grant converted a couple of first downs during the drive and Bortles was more or less sharp, to give the Jaguars a 7-0 lead. Some bad news though, as Cam Robinson went down in a heap on a pass play and had to be assisted off the field by trainers. It appears his left knee was injured.
4:30 PM: Patriots make it to the Jaguars 44 yard line, but the defense holds following great pressure on Brady from Ngakoue on 3rd & 7 that forces an errant throw. Patriots attempted a field goal by Stephen Gostkowski but it misses way wide right. The Jaguars get great poisitioning to open their offense.
4:26 PM: The Patriots want to test the defense first it seems, lets go.’
New England won the toss and elects to receive. Rare for Bill Belichick.— Daniel Popper (@danielrpopper) September 16, 2018
4:24 PM: Here we go! The Bank looks gorgeous.
4:14 PM: Well this bs here,,,
4:05 PM: Almost there, and The Bank is filling in nicely.
3:23 PM: With or without Leonard, the theme should be to control the ball and make them melt away.

Patriots inactives: C/G Brian Schwenke, CB J.C. Jackson, WR Corey Coleman, DE Derek Rivers, RB Kenjon Barner, OT Marcus Cannon, CB Keion Crossen. No major surprises, as Rivers is 4th/5th DE and doesn't have same special-teams prowess as Geneo Grissom.— Mike Reiss (@MikeReiss) September 16, 2018
2:50 PM: Some positive injury news, looks like the Jags WILL have Calais Campbell.

1:36 PM: Folks, I am not hearing positive things about the status of Calais Campbell for today’s game...
1:20 PM: AFC South Update, Colts up on Redskins 7-0 (Andrew Luck is looking pretty good). Titans, who are being led by none other than Blaine Gabbert, ran a fake punt pass to go up 7-0 on the Texans.
12:53 PM: Still awaiting official word, but per NFL on FOX’s Jay Glazer, who is pretty well connected on these things, Leonard Fournette will be OUT today. It’s the Yeldon/Grant show looks like.
12:45 PM: Welcome to the blog everyone! We are a bit early with a late kick off today at 4:25 PM EST, but I’ll be keeping you posted as we get closer to kick off on the inactives, particularly if Leonard Fournette and Calais Campbell go, as well as the happenings in the early games relevant to the Jags.
