The Oakland Raiders made an insane trade over the weekend, sending arguably the best pass rusher in the NFL in Khalil Mack to the Chicago Bears. The Raiders netted two first round picks in the deal, but didn’t just send Mack. The Bears also got a second round pick in the deal, which... seems insane.
I personally think the Raiders got fleeced in the deal, as the picks are likely to be late first round picks and the chances of landing a player as good as Mack with any of them is astronomically low. The Bears got a premier pass rusher in his prime (while they don’t have money committed to a quarterback!) and likely also got a high second round pick.
Based on how the fan bases reacted made me think: How would you feel if the Jacksonville Jaguars traded Jalen Ramsey? What would it take for it to be palatable for you?
For me, I don’t know how I’d react because I can’t fathom trading a player like Mack or Ramsey, especially for what the Raiders received in return, but less us know in the comments!
