2019 Senior Bowl Day 3 practice live blog: Jaguars rumors, news, meetings, and more

It’s Thursday and after a rain-soaked day that forced players to practice inside yesterday, it’s time for some more live updates.

The 2019 Senior Bowl has been a touch and go affair so far. Day 1 got us our first looks at the quarterback crop of Will Grier, Tyree Jackson, Drew Lock, and Daniel Jones — a quarterback crop the Jacksonville Jaguars will be looking at very closely — but Day 2 included some pretty bad weather, forcing teams to practice inside and the media to stay outside.

We’re back today with the final day of practice from Mobile, Alabama. We’ll be doing live blogs to capture all the relevant Jaguars news, meetings with players, and rumors throughout the week.

Everything you need to know

Live blog

5:30 PM: There are four positions that the Jaguars have ramped up their meetings at the Senior Bowl — quarterback, wide receiver, tight end, and offensive line. They are going to go all in on offense this draft and maybe free agency too.

3:14 PM: That’s the second or third tight end the Jaguars are zeroing in on this Senior Bowl.

3:05 PM: OH YES WE ARE.

3:00 PM: We’re going offensive line heavy in this NFL Draft, aren’t we?

2:36 PM: If he has a good showing on Saturday, Terry McLaurin probably made himself a few million dollars going to the Senior Bowl this year.

12:33 PM: Another playmaking wide receiver that’s meeting with the Jaguars.

12:08 PM: That makes multiple meetings between Will Grier and the Jaguars at the Senior Bowl. If there’s a guy to link with the Jaguars in the second round it’s him.

9:00 AM: We didn’t get any practices yesterday but we did get some scoops! The Jaguars have met with Drew Lock and Tyree Jackson. Both are worthy of a second or third round pick, so it could be that they’re doing their due diligence to make a plan to grab a non-quarterback (offensive tackle maybe?) at No. 7 overall and then pick a second-tier guy later.
