Jalen Ramsey on Lamar Jackson: ‘He’s the truth’

Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey isn’t shy about telling us how he feels about opposing quarterbacks.

Deshaun Watson “will be league MVP in couple years.”

Carson Wentz is “a future MVP.”

Drew Brees is “really good.”

Kirk Cousins is “a winner.”

Josh Allen is “trash.”

And Joe Flacco “sucks.”

So at the Pro Bowl, it’s no surprise that the Baltimore Ravens media team wanted to know what he thought about rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson. In three words — “He’s the truth.”

“He’s the truth. I think last year around Draft time, I thought he should’ve been the number one pick — and that’s nothin’ to nobody else, I just thought he was that good. He came in this year and did a good job leading the Ravens to the playoffs. Yeah, that’s my guy.”

Jackson came off the bench to replace an underperforming Flacco in the final seven games of the regular season, earning a 6-1 record and helping the Ravens win the AFC North. He needs to get better passing the ball, but he finished the 2018 season with 695 rushing yards on 147 carries (4.7 yards per carry) and five touchdowns.
