The Jacksonville Jaguars have a quarterback problem. We know it, the front office knows it, the coaches know it, and Pro Football Focus knows it.
In their end-of-year quarterback rankings, Blake Bortles earned a final 2018 overall grade of 64.1 — which is only a few points higher than the likes of Mitchell Trubisky, Lamar Jackson, Josh Rosen, and Ryan Tannehill.
29. BLAKE BORTLES, JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
Overall Grade: 64.1
Bortles was benched for Cody Kessler due to performance – not injury. His low overall grade and ranking reflect that accurately.
There’s not really much else to say, is there? Bortles was one of the worst quarterbacks in the league last year and they’ll be looking to renovate the quarterback position in the offseason.
What do you think? Is a 29th overall ranking indicative of how Bortles played last year? Should it be a little higher? Lower? Let us know in the comments below!
