Shortly after we learned that Ramsey had requested a trade, owner Shad Khan reportedly stepped in and made his feelings on the All-Pro cornerback known — saying he loved Ramsey and that he wanted to make him the highest paid cornerback in the league.
On top of all that, his coaches (led by head coach Doug Marrone) said they didn’t want to see him traded. After Ramsey played his final game against the Tennessee Titans however, he began missing practice and games with back tightness, despite seeing a back specialist who noted that there was nothing debilitating.
But in the end it after Ramsey was missing practice with a back issue and seemingly refusing to play, the time finally decided there was no reconciliation in the works and decided to trade him for some future compensation.
