The Jacksonville Jaguars have promoted undrafted rookie linebacker Joe Giles-Harris from the practice squad to their active roster. To make room, the Jaguars waived second-year cornerback Parry Nickerson. The team also released quarterback Chase Litton from the practice squad.

Giles-Harris was on the Jaguars’ practice squad from Weeks 1-7 after spending training camp and the offseason program with the team. He attended Duke and played in 34 games for the Blue Devils, compiling 312 tackles, 32 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. As a senior in 2018, Giles-Harris finished with 80 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and 1.0 sack.

Giles-Harris wears No. 43.

Jacksonville now has 53 players on their active roster and two openings on their 10-man practice squad.
