Jaguars vs. Jets fantasy football: Week 8 DraftKings lineups, strategy, picks, and predictions

The Jacksonville Jaguars can get back to .500, they’re at home, and they boast a productive offense paired with a defense coming off of a four-turnover performance.

The New York Jets are on a short week, they just got shutout on national television, and their quarterback is seeing ghosts.

On paper, this looks like a game where several Jacksonville players could be in for a big day, but let’s take a closer look at who you should stash away on your DraftKings roster.

D/ST Jaguars

On paper, this is a no-brainer. Jacksonville’s defense is rolling right now — last week alone they had two sacks, seven tackles for a loss, and forced four turnovers. New York is the worst offense in the league, averaging just 209.0 yards per game. They’re last in passing (142.2 passing yards per game) and third to last in rushing (66.8 yards per game). They’re scoring just 10.5 points per game (also last). Le’Veon Bell, the only running back with more than 40 yards on the team, is averaging just 3.3 yards per carry and has just two touchdowns in six games. I think this is a game where the defense harkens back to the days of Sacksonville once again.

Fantasy projection: 9 points allowed, 3 sacks, 3 turnovers

RB Leonard Fournette

I want to put Gardner Minshew on this list, but the Jets are a top-10 defense when it comes to allowing fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Instead, I think the team leans on Leonard Fournette once again. New York is 29th in the league in allowing fantasy points to opposing running backs.

Fantasy projection: 4 receptions, 140 total yards, 1 touchdown

K Josh Lambo

Until the offense is effective in the red zone, Josh Lambo is a smart play. He hasn’t missed a kick at all this season and has never missed a kick at home. The offense is productive and can drive down the field but until they start scoring touchdowns, it’s Lambo’s world and we’re all just living in it.

Fantasy projection: 4-for-4 field goals, 3-for-3 extra points, 15 total points
