The Jacksonville Jaguars are headed north to take on the Carolina Panthers with both teams at 2-2 and needing a win to stay in their respective division races. Vegas may have only put the over/under between 40-41 points this week but there are plenty of fantasy plays to make on the Jaguars side of the ball.
But there will be opportunities for points in this game.
Who are some players you should stash away on your DraftKings roster? Let’s take a look.
D/ST Jaguars
Yup. We’ve been going with the Jaguars D/ST almost all season and that’s because they don’t allow a lot of points (unless they’re playing the Kansas City Chiefs) and they have a penchant for either turnovers or sacks in any given week. This week, I think it’s turnovers — Kyle Allen has been a fumble machine and this will be Yannick Ngakoue’s “get right” game.
Fantasy projection: 3 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, 1 interception, 19 points allowed
RB Leonard Fournette
Carolina is in the bottom-10 when it comes to rushing yards allowed per game at 130.8 — and while the offensive line still has some work to do, Fournette is a much improved runner from years past. If he continues with the running style he had last week, he’ll rack up the yards.
Fantasy projection: 4 receptions, 145 total yards, 1 touchdown
K Josh Lambo
Whereas the Panthers have a weak run defense, their pass defense is top in the league — allowing only 156.8 yards per game through the air. I think the Jaguars offense gets stymied near the goal line several time, setting Lambo up for a good day of kicking.
Fantasy projection: 4-for-4 overall, 1-for-1 from 50+ yards
