The Jaguars originally added Jackson as an unrestricted free agent in 2016, signing him to a massive six-year, $85.5 million deal with $31.5 million guaranteed. Some thought that the Jaguars spent way too much on a player who was a rotational played with the Denver Broncos, but Jackson had an immediate impact with the Jaguars with his highest sack total of his career with 6.5 sacks and then making the Pro Bowl in 2017 after picking up another career high 8 sacks.
While Jackson’s play fell off in the 2018 season, he was still a good player on the Jaguars talented defensive line. He started losing snaps at the three-technique position to Marcell Dareus and later in the season rookie Taven Bryan.
