4:03 PM: Even without leg cramps, this is fine. He’s not a running quarterback.
Ohio St QB Dwayne Haskins, who ended up running an unofficial 40 of 5.04, was battling leg cramps prior to running, I’m told. He’d been timed in the 4.8s during training in California and will run again at his Pro Day.

1:11 PM: Draft T.J. Hockensen on Day 2 and Foster Moreau on Day 3. Prosper, Jaguars.

12:22 PM: Tyree Jackson is an interesting prospect and I wouldn’t be surprised if a team with an established quarterback took him in the second or third round. He’s a big, fast guy with a cannon for an arm. Why not?
My stance is I’ve been struggling to understand why Josh Allen was perceived as a top 10 pick and Tyree Jackson is a day 3 project.

Both have cannon arms and ++athletes with accuracy issues/lower level conference play...
11:24 AM: This is so, so smooth out of Irv Smith. So many good tight ends in this class.
Irv Smith did absolutely what you want to see out of the gauntlet.

10:22 AM: *chokes on water*
Iowa’s 6-5, 243-pound TE Noah Fant ran his first 40 in 4.51 seconds.

9:32 AM: Irv Smith is gonna be a star, y’all.
Irv Smith (TE, Alabama): 6-2 3/8, 242, 31 1/2” arms, 9 1/2” hands
— Zach Goodall (@zach_goodall) March 1, 2019
Trey Burton: 6-2, 224, 31” arms, 9 3/8” hands
Burton broke out as an H-back/TE w/ #Eagles while John DeFilippo was the QB coach there.
TE is a huge need for the #Jaguars. Anxious to see how Smith tests.
9:00 AM: The Jaguars have officially met with the following quarterbacks either before or during this week’s NFL Combine — Dwayne Haskins, Will Grier, Daniel Jones, and Drew Lock.
Unless I’m mistaken, no meeting with Kyler Murray yet.

8:46 AM: Jordan Scarlett is a mid-to-late round running back who has been getting a lot of attention from the Jaguars — and his 4.49 time in the 40 yard dash puts him just above the middle of the pack yesterday. Hmmm...
