2019 NFL mock draft: RUTHIE AND MATTHEW PREDICT THE ENTIRE FIRST ROUND

Today is the day, everyone — the final day of mock drafts* because the 2019 NFL Draft is right around the corner!

*until Sunday evening when everyone starts posting 2020 mock drafts

My hypothesis has always been that correctly predicting the first round is a bit like throwing darts. Yes, some teams are more likely to pick one player or one position over another. If a team obviously needs a quarterback, you can limit your scope. But others... who knows?!

That’s why I bribed my daughter, Ruthie, with ice cream cake to give us her guess at how the entire first round will turn out! You can view the video at our Facebook here but the picks are below.

Ruthie’s Picks

Pick Team Player College

16 Carolina Panthers WR N'Keal Harry Arizona St.
17 New York Giants DL Chase Winovich Michigan

It was at this point that Ruthie had eaten all her ice cream cake, so naturally she quit.

But that’s why you have two children, folks.

As my youngest, Matthew, was eating his oatmeal for breakfast, I had him draw the remaining names out of a hat and here’s what we got!

Matthew’s Picks

Now, how did they get these players? I took the CBS Sports big board, cut up the top 60 or so players and put them in a hat. That’s it.

How do you think Ruthie and Matthew did? You think they’ll get any predictions right? Let us know in the comments below!
