The Jacksonville Jaguars are without Yannick Ngakoue at practice today, as the defensive end is absent from OTAs and it’s not medically related, according to Phillip Heilman of the Florida Times-Union.

Yannick Ngakoue is not at OTAs. He said last week he would participate in all spring practices and training camp despite desires for a new contract. I guess that changed. #Jaguars

When asked last week if his plan was to be at all OTAs, Ngakoue responded: “Yes, for sure.”
So it is a bit strange to not see him show up — but we don’t know why he isn’t at practice and, quite frankly, it’s voluntary and this is a contract year. If he just decided over the Memorial Day weekend that he didn’t want to risk injury in a voluntary practice, that’s fine by me.
