Oliver was the 98th overall selection in the 2019 draft, the highest selection of a tight end by the Jaguars since the team selected Marcedes Lewis in the first round of the 2006 draft. He will be the leader in the clubhouse to be the team’s “F” or receiving tight end as they enter camp, opposite free agent addition Geoff Swaim.
The team now has three of their seven picks under contract following the announced the signings of sixth round pick Garnder Minshew and seventh round pick Dontavious Russell earlier in the afternoon.
