The Jacksonville Jaguars are onto Day 3 of their mandatory mini camp — the final day of organized team activities until training camp next month.
You can catch the recap of Day 1 here and Day 2 here but to give you a tl;dr — Nick Foles has steadily improved after appearing a little rusty at the beginning, the team isn’t backing down from backing Yannick Ngakoue, a couple of key members of the offense are being held out for precautionary measures, and Jalen Ramsey isn’t going to get a contract extension this year.
What’s standing out from Day 3 of mandatory mini camp? Follow along with everything Jaguars by checking out our live blog throughout the day.
11:37 AM: A.J. Bouye and Jalen Ramsey know what they’re doing.
It may not look like much but this is how AJ Bouye and Jalen Ramsey spend their “rest periods” of #jaguars practice...by working on their footwork on the side. It’s the small things that allow those guys to play at a high level on Sundays. @wjxt4 @Sports4Jax pic.twitter.com/CnMdaBSX2K

10:58 AM: Andrew Norwell is again a no-show. Training camp awaits, big man.
#Jaguars working on the side: LT Cam Robinson, DE Josh Allen, LB Jake Ryan and RB Ryquell Armstead. Don’t see LG Andrew Norwell.

10:44 AM: Well, practice wasn’t cancelled but at least they’ll get to be indoors. No real chance of rain in downtown Jacksonville but the humidity has to be awful.

10:41 AM: Todd Wash giving newly hired offensive coordinator John DeFilippo some props. Not mentioned, however, is the fact that the defense isn’t facing a potato at quarterback.
Wash: Flips offense has really challenged us this spring. That’s only going to make us better. @wjxt4 @Sports4Jax

10:40 AM: Good to see. This team needs depth at defensive end. Yannick Ngakoue and Josh Allen are a superb trio, but who else is there?
#Jaguars DC Wash says Smoot has taken advantage of the absence of Ngakoue and Allen more than anybody this spring. “(Smoot) has really helped his cause.”

10:39 AM: There is no bigger question mark on the defense than linebacker. Myles Jack is one of your base three. Newly acquired Jake Ryan is probably another. Who’s the third? Will Quincy Williams step up as a rookie? Leon Jacobs? Who?
Wash: I think Myles Jack enjoys MLB. He’s definitely stepped up in that LB room. He’s starting to figure it out more than he has in the past. @wjxt4 @Sports4Jax

10:27 AM: When half the league is cancelling Day 3 of mini camp and you really want that liquid lunch.
Just joking - practice still on - I hate the Jags media people. (hahaha - just messing around). Practice is still on though - in my opinion it should be cancelled.
