The Jacksonville Jaguars will not be giving Jalen Ramsey a contract extension this offseason — and that means Jalen Ramsey won’t be giving them a “hometown discount” when they finally come around the negotiations.
Speaking with running back Leonard Fournette on Instagram Live, Ramsey said he was going to be playing hardball with the Jaguars brass when it came time for that next contract.
#Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey was told he wouldn’t be offered a contract extension this year.

And because of that — “no hometown discounts”.

“Next year, especially after I ball, they’re going to come to me ‘Hey, we wanna holler at you. That number is going to be so ungodly. … They’re going to say, ‘Oh God, can’t we get a little discount, 20 percent off?’”
“I’m going to tell them last year you could have gotten that discount. This year. I’m going to need all of that [next year].”
The Jaguars exercised Jalen’s fifth-year option and that runs through 2020, but Ramsey is about to be the highest paid cornerback ever, isn’t he?
