As we work our way through the summer in preparation for 2019 training camp and the 2019 preseason, we thought it would be a good idea to go down the roster and take a peak at every single player on the Jaguars 90 man. A lot of these players we already know, but roughly half of them won’t make the final roster and there will be some battles on the back end, so this can give us at least some precursory information on players we may not be familiar with.
Now you can look smart watching the preseason games with your friends when they say “Wow, who is that guy?!” — You’ll know.
Next up, wide receiver C.J. Board.
C.J. Board, veteran, 25, Chattanooga
As we move down the Jacksonville Jaguars roster we finally start hitting players I needed to dig in and do some research on. I didn’t know Board was on the Jaguars roster until I got to his name, but he is one of the many wide receivers the Jaguars have churned in the past year. Board was originally added to the Jaguars practice squad in December of 2018 and then signed to a futures contract before the end of the season.
Originally signing with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2017, Board has also spent time with the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns and now the Jaguars. He has never played in a regular season NFL game and has just seven total receptions in the preseason combined in 2017 and 2018.
