This year marks the 25th season for the Jacksonville Jaguars. To celebrate, we’re counting down 100 days from our regular season kickoff with the top 100 moments in franchise history.
Yesterday it was Mr. 54 himself — Mike Peterson.
Today? Leonard Fournette’s “Superman dive” against the Pittsburgh Steelers early in his rookie season.
October 8, 2017
Late in the first quarter of a Week 5 matchup in Pittsburgh that Jacksonville desperately needed to win to take that next step, the defense stepped up.
And when I say stepped up, I mean that they carried the lifeless offense through the end zone, into the locker room, onto the plane, back to their homes, and tucked them in that night.
Jalen Ramsey intercepted a Ben Roethlisberger pass at midfield to set up the only positive drive for the Jaguars of the first half — ending in a statement dive by Fournette into the end zone.
Did Fournette really need to leap from the five-yard line? No.
Are we eternally happy he did? Hell yes.
Faster than a speeding bullet!

More powerful than a locomotive!
Able to leap defenses in a single bound!
