It’s time for USA Today’s annual NFL predictions which are totally cool and don’t set us up for heartbreak at all.
On an unrelated note, the same USA Today predicted the Jaguars would be 12-4 and the AFC’s No. 1 seed last year.
Very cool. Not sad at all. We didn’t waste another year of a generational defense because this front office can’t evaluate quarterbacks. Go Jaguars.
Anyway, now we’re back with the USA Today predictions for this year and Nate Davis sees the team going 10-6 and earning a playoff spot.
It's predictions time! @ByNateDavis takes an educated guess at how the entire 2019 NFL season will play out. Read his rationale: https://t.co/f6VCUslj9y pic.twitter.com/JPic3yj9mJ

I think this is the absolute ceiling for this team. A substandard offense can only go so far and newly signed quarterback Nick Foles only has so large of... a set of shoulders on which to carry this team.
And what’s with the love for the Los Angeles Chargers at this time of year? They were predicted as a Super Bowl team last year too. God help us (and Sully’s liver) if the Kansas City Chiefs can’t get over the AFC West hump.
The Los Angeles Rams finish at 9-7? What are they cur-
*sees who they signed at quarterback this offseason*
Okay, fair play, Nate.
I think this is the year for the Cleveland Browns and I think they edge the Pittsburgh Steelers. That roster is just too damn good.
Oh and the New York Giants are not a 5-11 team.
(They’re worse.)
