2019 Jacksonville Jaguars training camp: Day 1 live blog

NFL: Jacksonville Jaguars-Minicamp Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

The Jacksonville Jaguars are opening up their 2019 training camp this morning at 8:45am EST and run through 11:40am EST.

Rookies and quarterbacks have already reported, but today is the first time fans can see the full team will hit the field.

You can see a full training camp schedule here.

As the Jaguars open training camp, there are a lot of things to pay attention to. How will Nick Foles look quarterbacking his new team? Can the rookies on offense do enough to carry the load? What will the team do at linebacker without the help at Telvin Smith? How will the safety position shake out with Tashaun Gipson and Barry Church both gone? Is Josh Lambo still hot?

We’ll start learning the answers to these questions and more as the Jaguars take the field this morning. Follow along with everything Jaguars by checking out our live blog throughout the day.

Live blog

7:06 PM: The Jaguars have added two defensive backs to their roster. No surprises there. And one of them is a guy named Fish? 53-man lock.

11:34 AM: Adorable.

11:23 AM: Nick Foles speaking to the media. Handsome. Strong. 8/10, tbph.

11:08 AM: I think Gardner Minshew will see time at quarterback this regular season — it’s just difficult for a quarterback to play every snap nowadays — and this is a good sign.

11:06 AM: I love Gene’s tweets.

11:03 AM: How the Jaguars figure out the right side of their offensive line will be one of the most important things this team does in training camp. They like (love?) Cedric Ogbuehi so it’ll be a battle for the right tackle spot.

10:09 AM: I could watch Calais Campbell beat up on practice dummies all day long.

8:51 AM: Josh Allen getting his first official camp reps. It’ll be interesting to see how the Jaguars use him. He was drafted to be a defensive end, but he’s an incredible talent.

8:42 AM: Calais Campbell is the best free agent signing in franchise history. Do not @ me.

8:41 AM: Whoa! This is very good news for a depleted running backs group. Ryquell Armstead will challenge for touches this season — both as a runner and third down back — and having him start on Day 1 of training camp is a big deal.

8:36 AM: Myles Jack not practicing today due to illness. No big deal.

8:21 AM: Doug Marrone seems confident that Yannick Ngakoue will be present at training camp, even without a new deal.

8:21 AM: The top of the depth chart looks great with Jalen Ramsey, A.J. Bouye, and D.J. Hayden, but after that it just bottoms out. Adding an eighth year veteran like Josh Robinson could help.

6:54 AM: It’s... beautiful.

6:00 AM: I will be starting every morning watching this video of Jalen Ramsey arriving at training camp with a Brink’s truck because it’s the only good and right thing to do.
