Don’t expect many Jaguars starters against Eagles

The Jacksonville Jaguars say roughly one third of their roster against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1 of the preseason and by the sounds of it from head coach Doug Marrone, it will likely be very close to the same thing on Thursday against the Philadelphia Eagles

It’s likely we will see a few more starters on Thursday against the Eagles, however I’d be surprised to see any of the likes of Nick Foles, Jalen Ramsey, Leonard Fournette, Calais Campbell, Yannick Ngakoue, etc. To be perfectly honest, we don’t really need to see their either.

The Jaguars have been doing a lot more reps with the first team players during training camp and joint practices this season in lieu of playing them in the live preseason games. I would expect the majority of the starters to play in the third preseason game and then sat again for the first preseason game.

Get ready for the Gardner Minshew show, again.
