The Jacksonville Jaguars are back at TIAA Bank Field for the first time in nearly nine months and they’re hosting the Philadelphia Eagles in their Week 2 preseason home opener. A lot of starters will likely sit tonight, including quarterbacks Carson Wentz and Nick Foles, but the question marks for this team are at other positions. How does the running back depth look? Do we have any answers at wide receiver? Will linebacker be a liability this year? Can we have a healthy group of offensive linemen?

Follow along here for all the latest news, analysis, video, and more from tonight’s game!

How to watch

Live blog

10:13 PM: The Eagles run roughshod on the Jags 3rd & 4th team defense and punch it in to go up 24-10 and essentially put this one away. Thanks for hanging around, we’ll see you all and hopefully the starters finally, next Thursday against the Dolphins.

9:46 PM: Alex McGough gets a short field following a Picasso Nelson interception, and drives into the end zone for the first touchdown of the Jags preseason. Philly leads 17-10, with 8 minutes left in the game.

9:35 PM: Jake Elliot kicks a 52 yard field goal in what’s become a rainy start to the fourth quarter, to make it 17-3 Eagles. We’ve seen the end to Gardner Minshew’s night, as Alex McGough has entered the game for the Jags.

9:25 PM: Midfield seems to have a force field around it when it comes to the Jags offense. They make it out to the 50 for yet another drive, led again by Minshew, but are unable to convert on both 3rd and 4th & 1. Tre McBride had a pass drop through his hands on 3rd down, which was followed by a failed bootleg attempt by Minshew on 4th. Still 14-3, Philly as we near the end of the third quarter.

9:16 PM: Philadelphia chews up nearly a half of the third quarter and uses a successful challenge of a pass interference no-call in the end zone by Eagles coach Doug Pederson, to capitalize with a 5 yard touchdown score to put the Eagles up 14-3 with 5:26 left in the third quarter. The game has begun to drag a bit.

8:54 PM: The Jaguars open the second half with the ball but do little with it, as Minshew is forced to throw it away on 3rd down with the Eagles linebackers coming in untouched on the blitz. For the first half, Minshew finished 15/22 for 160 yards.

8:34 PM: Minshew connects on throws to Mike Walker for 25 yards, and Ben Koyack for a medium gain to get the Jaguars into range for Josh Lambo to convert the first points of the preseason for the Jaguars with five seconds remaining in the half. We enter halftime with the Eagles mostly backups up 7-3 on all the Jags backups. A much better half than last week, for sure though.

On the injury front, running back Alfred Blue is out with what appears to be a high ankle sprain.

8:28 PM: Another good drive for the Jags defense as the half nears it’s end. A couple of false start penalties negated a pass interference call on Tae Hayes and the Jags take over at their 26, with 1:40 left in the first half and two time outs.

8:15 PM: We actually got some offense that drive, though it ends in a punt down inside the 5 by the Jags. On the drive, Minshew made several nice throws while showing poise in the pocket under consistent pressure, including what would’ve been a 36 yard catch and run for a score to Tre McBride, but Ben Koyack was called for a block in the back. Still, a nice showing this game thus far for the rookie QB.

8:03 PM: The Jaguars again get across midfield, but again stub their toe during the drive as right tackle Leonard Wester gets absolutely burned by the Eagles end resulting in a sack/strip/fumble recovery. However, the Jags defense is able to turn away Thorson and the Philly offense, helped by an offensive pass interference penalty, to force another Eagles punt. Other than the blown play by Reavis, the defense has played well tonight. Jags take the ball at their own 20.

7:50 PM: Tae Hayes knocks the ball away on 3rd down, only to have Philly go for it on 4th & 4. Todd Wash sends the house...and the Eagles make them pay, as CJ Reavis loses his guy in coverage on a thrown up prayer from Thorson, and it’s caught and ran in for an Eagles touchdown. Yuck. 7-0 Eagles, early in the second quarter.

7:47 PM: End of quarter number one, and the Eagles are driving after starting at their own 10. Some sloppy tackling on the Jags part this drive, but some good stops in the air by Tre Herndon and Breon Borders.

Here’s the highlight play of the quarter for the Jags:

7:37 PM: After the Jags force Clayton Thorson and the Eagles offense off the field in a hurry thanks in large part again to Datone Jones, Minshew gets the Jags across midfield with his best throw of the preseason thus far hitting James O’Shaughnessy for a 15 yard gain over the middle of the field. The drive is stalled out however, as Minshew is pressured into an uncatchable throw on third and long. Another good Cooke punt pins the Eagles inside their 10 yard line once again.

7:23 PM: Well, the Jaguars accomplished a first down on their opening drive as Alfred Blue had a nice run of 8 yards followed by the 3rd down conversion pass from Minshew to Keelan Cole, but there wasn’t much else going after that. The Eagles are playing most of their defensive starters and it’s showing against the second and third team offensive linemen on that drive, as Brandon Graham and Vinnie Curry gave both tackles fits. Cooke punts a nice ball that pins Philly inside their 15.

7:14 PM: After a bit of a shaky start, including a 14 yard run by Miles Sanders to open the game, the defense holds well and forces the Eagles to punt at just past midfield. Key plays included a nice combo stuff on a Sanders run by Eli Ankou, Najee Goode, and Josh Allen; a huge sack by Datone Jones that knocked Kessler out of the game; and some good pressure being applied all drive by Allen. Kessler might be done already, welcome back to Duval, Cody. The Jags take over at their own 11.

7:06 PM: The Eagles win the toss, and we’ll see the Jags defense against former Jaguar Cody Kessler and the Eagles offense to start.

6:58 PM: We are minutes away from kick off and, well, we won’t be seeing most of the starters again tonight, though this time it was at least expected. The starters WILL play next week @ Miami.

3:41 PM: It may only be preseason BUT IT’S REAL TO ME, DAMMIT! Get your pregame fix from any of the below.

11:54 AM: Gardner Minshew II, Will Richardson, and Tre McBride headline my players to watch. Who are yours?

9:46 AM: Dawuane Smoot seems pumped about tonight’s game. With the Jaguars going defensive end once again, Smoot will likely be overlooked when it comes time to sign a contract extension after the 2020 season.

7:48 AM: Jawaan Taylor’s fall to the second round is becoming more and more justified. I’d be shocked if he or Andrew Norwell play at all this preseason.
