100 moments in 100 days: Aaron Beasley was a joy to watch on those early teams

This year marks the 25th season for the Jacksonville Jaguars. To celebrate, we’re counting down 100 days from our regular season kickoff with the top 100 moments in franchise history.

Yesterday it was Blake Bortles catching a touchdown pass from Marqise Lee.

Today? Mr. 21 himself — Aaron Beasley.

Beasley was selected at the top of the third round (63rd pick overall) in the 1996 NFL Draft and he played for us until 2001. But it was his 1999 season that was most impressive — 16 starts, six interceptions, two touchdowns, two forced fumbles, and 1.5 sacks.

In his nine-season career, he played 121 games and earned 423 tackles, 24 interceptions, 10 forced fumbles, and 8.5 quarterback sacks.

And the dude would absolutely play on all-time Jaguars 53-man roster. Put him, Rashean Mathis, A.J. Bouye, and Jalen Ramsey as your cornerbacks and you’re not passing for more than 50 yards that day.

Send us your favorite moments and we’ll dig into each one until the Jaguars kick off on September 8th — including whatever video, audio, or stories we can find.
