Let’s answer some questions ahead of the Jacksonville Jaguars facing the Miami Dolphins in Week 3 of the preseason!

Q: What is Chris Conley’s role going to be this season and what should we expect from him? I thought he was going to be a factor, but you have Terrelle Pryor ahead of him on recent 53 man depth chart?

A: If you’re referring to my 53-man prediction that wasn’t meant to be a depth chart. As far as his role, he’ll be a hybrid tight end / wide receiver. He’ll see his share of red zone targets. But most of all, imagine it’s second-and-eight. He’ll be the guy running a nine yard route. Very few yards after the catch but a target on short to medium first down conversions and near the goal line.

Bill from Cincinnati, OH

Q: Does Cedric Ogbuehi make the opening day roster and if so why? Has he earned it or just because there is nobody else?

A: Yes and it’s partly that there is no one else with Leonard Wester underperforming in preseason. But several people close to the team have told me the coaches love him, so I think he’ll safely make the roster.

Jon from Beverly Hills, CA

Q: Drafting and extending Blake Bortles, drafting Taven Bryan, letting Allen Robinson walk, the Yannick Ngakoue fiasco... How the hell does Dave Caldwell still have a job?

A: I have no idea. And you forgot Luke Joeckel and Dante Fowler.

Daniel from London, UK

Q: Can we expect to see our full starting team this week? And if so, who do we expect to see in the offensive line?

A: As far as starters, we’ll see them tonight. Only a handful of starters were mentioned by Doug Marrone as being held out. I expect the starting offensive line to be Cam Robinson, Andrew Norwell, Brandon Linder, Will Richardson, and Jawaan Taylor on opening day.

Chevin from Jacksonville, FL

Q: Who are your sleepers this season on offense and on defense?

A: I think Dede Westbrook is due for a big season now that he has a competent quarterback under center. He’s got all the tools and he would have been a first round draft pick if not for off field concerns. He’s made the most of a bad situation here in Jacksonville, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he was (again) our leading receiver but this time a bit more convincingly. As far as defense, Ronnie Harrison. He showed he could be a star last season with flashes. I think this year — his sophomore season — he starts to put it all together.

Chris from Jacksonville, FL

Q: Who signs a contract extension first? Yannick Ngakoue, Jalen Ramsey, or Myles Jack?

A: I don’t think Myles Jack will be signing a contract extension because the price tag just jumped up with Jaylon Smith recently signing a $68 million contract. The Jaguars aren’t going to want to pay that to Myles. And between Jalen and Yannick... I think Yannick will be the cheaper of the two so he’ll be first. But I think both get re-signed.

Thomas from Spokane, WA

Q: Has Gardner Minshew won the backup quarterback spot? The dude made himself a legend here in Cougar Country last year.

A: I think so. After the first preseason game there was some concern over the backup quarterback spot and a second straight week might have had the team looking for a street free agent veteran to bring in behind Foles, but it sounds like he put a lot of those thoughts to bed with a very good outing last Thursday.

Q: With some shuffling could the offensive line be somewhat good, if healthy?

A: I don’t think there needs to be any shuffling, but the starting five are fine. There’s not a ton of depth though, so if anything happens to one or two starters... yikes.
