Roster cuts and updates
8:27 PM: We’ve got observations on every position group in the first 53-man roster. See y’all tomorrow!

3:48 PM: The (first!) 53-man roster is here!
2:59 PM: Not cut day news but HOO BOY is that a lot of cash for Myles Jack. Glad to see him get it, and it’s cheaper than the $68 million that the Dallas Cowboys gave Jaylon Smith, but... I still don’t get it.
#Jaguars sign LB Myles Jack to four year, $57M contract extension with $33M guaranteed https://t.co/2PpXu5qBcz pic.twitter.com/w5Dbg9muim

1:23 PM: I guess that means it’s Josh Oliver, Geoff Swaim, Ben Koyack, and James O’Shaughnessey at tight end.
The #Jaguars are waiving TE Charles Jones, per league source.
— John Reid (@JohnReid64) August 31, 2019
1:00 PM: With wide receivers Tre McBride and Tyre Brady gone, I guess that means C.J. Board made the 53-man roster. Good for him.
The #Jaguars are waiving WRs Tre McBride and Tyre Brady, per source. That would seem to result in a roster spot for C.J. Board as the sixth receiver.
— Phillip Heilman (@phillip_heilman) August 31, 2019
Brady is a strong practice squad candidate if he makes it through waivers. McBride had a solid preseason but is not PS eligible.
12:53 PM: Quenton Meeks played real, live NFL games last year and his preseason was abysmal.
#Jaguars are waiving CB Quenton Meeks, per source. A good sign for Breon Borders earning a spot as the fifth cornerback.

12:39 PM: LEONARD WESTER IS GONE. (I feel bad for the guy because he was injured but he’s so, so bad.)
AP source: Jaguars have waived/injured OT Leonard Wester
— Mark Long (@APMarkLong) August 31, 2019
11:59 AM: Philadelphia Eagles running back Josh Adams is a player from our waiver wire target article last week. I would put in a claim now.
#Eagles are waiving RB Josh Adams, source says. He ran for 511 yards and 3 TDs last year but it’s a crowded backfield now. Should have interest on the waiver wire.

11:51 AM: The Houston Texans just traded a premier pass rusher for two backup linebackers and a third round draft pick. The lack of a general manager in Houston is hurting.
Terms for the #Seahawks trade for Jadeveon Clowney: Seattle gets Clowney, the #Texans get a third-round pick, LB Jacob Martin, and pass-rusher Barkevious Mingo, source said.

10:13 AM: I... would not be opposed to seeing what LeSean McCoy will sign for.
LeSean McCoy has had 12,000 career rushing yards as his goal. He’s 1,394 shy of that right now. He’ll have significant interest from teams. He’s going to have to weigh money, his shot at 12k and a chance to finally win. Should be interesting.
