Calais Campbell, Yannick Ngakoue miss practice with injuries

NFL: Preseason-Jacksonville Jaguars at Baltimore Ravens Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

The Jacksonville Jaguars hit the practice field on Wednesday to get ready for their Week 2 road game against AFC South rival Houston Texans. Some players will not be participating in Wednesday’s practice however, including defensive ends Yannick Ngakoue and Calias Campbell.

The other two players who won’t go are rookie tight end Josh Oliver and veteran offensive tackle Cedric Ogbuehi, but the big worries are of course Campbell (foot) and Ngakoue (hamstring). Neither came out of Sunday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs that I can remember, so perhaps they’re just little tweaks and are getting the day off.

In some good news it appears linebacker Quincy Wilson, defensive tackle Marcell Dareus and left tackle Cam Robinson will be practicing on Wednesday. Getting those three back and ready for Sunday could be huge for the Jaguars, especially Dareus who was sorely missed in the middle of the defensive line against the Chiefs.
