The Jacksonville Jaguars likely won’t be facing Drew Brees when the New Orleans Saints come to town. Brees is expected to miss 6-8 weeks with a thumb injury on his throwing hand, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Saints' QB Drew Brees is expected to undergo thumb surgery as early as today that would be expected to sideline him approximately 6 weeks, per leagues sources.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) September 16, 2019
Brees left yesterday’s game in the first quarter after his hand collided with Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald’s hand on a pass.
The 40-year-old quarterback is an Iron Man — he’s missed only one start in his NFL career due to injury when he was ruled out of 2015 game against the Carolina Panthers.
