The Jacksonville Jaguars are currently opening as 1.5 point underdogs against the Tennessee Titans. It’s surprising there’s not more of a gap, honestly, with a backup quarterback leading Jacksonville on a short week yet here we are.
That’s according to Bovada, who also has the over/under set at 40.0 points.
Spread:
Jaguars: +1.5 (-110)
Titans: - 1.5 (-110)
Money Line:
Jaguars: EVEN
Titans: -120
Total:
Jaguars: U40.0 (-110)
Titans: O40.0 (-110)
This all means that Vegas thinks the Titans will beat the Jaguars by a score of somewhere around 21-19, which wouldn’t be surprising given both teams’ insistence on running the ball and ticking time off the clock.
Before yesterday’s news about Jalen Ramsey, I could see taking the Jaguars and the points. But with the tailspin this franchise has fallen into — and on a short week! — I would rather stay the hell away from anything having to do with this game. But if you forced me to do it, I’d probably take the Titans winning by more than a field goal.
tl;dr — I’m taking the Titans to win by at least two, but I’d rather just go to sleep early on Thursday night. Sigh...
