With news of the Jacksonville Jaguars putting Jalen Ramsey on the trade block yesterday, teams are beginning to leak info one way or another their thoughts on the All-Pro cornerback.
The first we’ve seen this morning is reportedly the Kansas City Chiefs, who aren’t interested because their locker room “is too good right now” according to Jeffri Chadiha of NFL.com.
@Chiefs source says the team isn’t interested in @Jaguars CB @jalenramsey now that he wants a trade. Source says the team’s locker room “is too good right now.” The team did ask @AZCardinals about CB Patrick Peterson earlier this year and was “emphatically told no.”

This is... a bit strange.
First, the Chiefs secondary isn’t very good. They’ve given up 262.5 yards per game through the air playing the Jaguars and the Oakland Raiders, two offenses in the bottom half of the league in terms of production.
Second, you’re in an arms race with the New England Patriots to go to the Super Bowl this year. Why not add every weapon you can, especially when that weapon is an elite defender still on his rookie contract?
Third, the locker room bit. Jalen has never — not once — been a problem in the locker room. He has never been a detriment to his teammates. He’s spoken out of frustration more than once to the media and he does telegraph what he thinks the team should do on social media. But his reputation, as far as I’ve heard, isn’t negative when it comes to the locker room.
In short, the Chiefs are as good a destination as any for Ramsey. Why they’re not calling Jacksonville is peculiar.
