Week 1 NFL odds: Best lines to play and bet your mortgage on the Baltimore Ravens

We are back with another year of degenerate gambling and throwing our money away on the Jacksonville Jaguars. I used this column last year to win money that I then doubled up by betting on Clemson to win the national title that I lost by betting on the Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl.

Green Bay Packers (+4) at Chicago Bears

Folks, I actually think Green Bay wins this game. Aaron Rodgers is no mere mortal and Chicago is in a big transition with a new defensive coordinator and several new players at key positions.

Bet on the Packers to win outright.

Baltimore Ravens (-7) at Miami Dolphins

Miami is an absolute mess right now and in full tank mode. If it wasn’t for Ryan Fitzpatrick, the team could legally concede their entire season right now.

Bet on the Ravens to win in a blowout.

Cleveland Browns (-6) vs. Tennessee Titans

I won a lot of bets last year betting on the Browns and that tradition continues into 2019. A well rounded team with a better quarterback winning at home by a touchdown? Yes please.

Bet on the Browns to win by at least a touchdown.

Jacksonville Jaguars (+4) vs. Kansas City Chiefs

I would have saved myself a lot of pain and heartbreak not betting on the Jaguars at all last year. Please don’t make me do it. I have to? All right. There’s always a Week 1 surprise and there’s no better scenario I could envision for the Jaguars than at home, healthy, and facing the toughest team on their schedule in the season opener. I hate myself.

Bet on the Jaguars to keep it closer than 4.5 points.
