Former Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator John DeFilippo found a new job pretty quickly — becoming the newest quarterbacks coach for the Chicago Bears, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Big changes to Bears coaching staff: former Jaguars’ OC John DeFilippo is being hired as their QB coach, QB coach Dave Ragone is being promoted to passing game coordinator, and Bill Lazor is being hired as OC, per league source.

It shouldn’t come as much surprise that DeFilippo agreed to mutually part ways with the team. The offense was terrible last season with the team regressing in many facets, especially red zone scoring — the bread and butter of any good offensive coordinator.
It’s also thought that DeFilippo largely came to the Jaguars because of Nick Foles, but with Foles playing terribly and not assured the starting job in 2020 the job wasn’t all that enticing for him.
