The Jacksonville Jaguars are currently 3-point underdogs at home against the 1-3 Detroit Lions. I would say I expect the line to move away from Jacksonville and towards Detroit like it should have done last week but it went from an open of -6.5 to -5.5 right before kickoff despite the fact that the Texans were at home and had Deshaun Watson throwing against a depleted Jacksonville secondary.
Hey, free money is free money, right?
Anyway, that’s all according to BetOnline.ag, who has the over/under set at 54.0 points.
In short, Vegas thinks the Lions win with a score around 29-26.
Traditionally, the home team in NFL games are given a free three points and then the line goes from there, so this is saying that the Jaguars would lose to Lions by a touchdown in Detroit.
Until the Jaguars prove they can cover a spread, they can’t... and they’ve been unable to do so in each of the last three weeks.
Bet your mortgage on the Lions to win by more than a field goal.
