What a week we’ve had over at the Bet Your Mortgage column. After a few straight 2-2 weeks (and two straight losses on the big bet) we went 3-1 including a Bet Your Mortgage win thanks to the Houston Texans.
Stay the course. Trust the process. Get better everyday.
How does Week 6 look and what are the best games to throw some money at? Let’s check it out!
Note: I used Bovada odds on Thursday afternoon.
Green Bay Packers (-1.0) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The return of Davante Adams could not come at a better time for Aaron Rodgers (or fantasy owners) and I think they win in a shootout on the road.
Bet on the Packers to win.
Minnesota Vikings (-4.0) vs. Atlanta Falcons
Atlanta is... well, they’re not a good football team. Minnesota isn’t either but at least they can put up points against good defenses. And they took a very good Russell Wilson to the limit last week.
Bet your mortgage on the Vikings to win by a touchdown.
Miami Dolphins (-9.5) vs. New York Jets
Adam Gase is the worst head coach I have ever seen and I wrote about Gus Bradley daily for nearly four full seasons.
Bet on Dolphins to blow the Jets out of the water.
Detroit Lions (-3.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars
Both of these teams have horrendous defenses, but at least the Lions have Matthew Stafford. Plus, the Jaguars haven’t been able to cover an opposing tight end since the Clinton Administration and T.J. Hockensen leads the team in receptions.
Bet on the Lions winning by more than a field goal.
Overall: 13-7-0 (65.0%)
Bet Your Mortgage: 3-2-0 (60.0%)
