The Jacksonville Jaguars (1-5) will be visiting the Los Angeles Chargers (1-4) for Week 7 of the 2020 NFL season.

Jacksonville will be without several members of its starting defense as well as lacking an offensive identity. Being down early because of the holes on defense doesn’t help, but neither does the inconsistent play of Gardner Minshew and how running back James Robinson is a near after thought in the offensive game plan.

Stay with us all through the day as we live blog the game as it happens, and feel free to join the conversation in the comments as the day progresses. We’ll have postgame coverage as well following the conclusion of the game.

LET’S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

How to watch

Need to find out how to watch, stream, or listen to today’s game? We got you covered here.

Live blog

7:40 PM: It was a fun game, the guys around our future quarterback looked good, we didn’t ruin our draft place with a meaningless win, and we got a SCORIGAMI! That’s a best case scenario, folks. Night, everyone.

7:35 PM: Game over. We lost on the scoreboard but won in SCORIGAMI!

7:20 PM: With that Mike Badgley field goal, the Jaguars are down 39-29. I don’t want to alarm anyone but that is a SCORIGAMI, folks. A 39-29 final score has never been accomplished.

7:11 PM: Historically bad defense. All-time bad.

7:01 PM: Oh man, Dede Westbrook with a very bad injury. CBS saying they won’t replay it. It’s all jokes until an injury like that. Prayers up, Dede. We love you, man.

6:56 PM: Quick strike Chargers! Jaguars down 36-29.

6:50 PM: Look at this throw, y’all. Chargers tie it up 29-29.

6:47 PM: TOUCHDOWN CHRIS CONLEY! TWO-POINT CONVERSION IS GOOD TOO!

6:37 PM: The Jaguars have embraced the most chaotic tank of all time.

6:36 PM: Hell of a throw and catch by Justin Herbert and Virgil Green there. Two-point conversions is no good. Jaguars down 22-21.

6:14 PM: ARE YOU KIDDING ME? A BLOCKED PUNT AND 21 UNANSWERED POINTS!

6:04 PM: HALFTIME OBSERVATIONS:

1. James Robinson is a FULL GROWN MAN. Best player on offense.

2. Gardner Minshew is fun to watch, but he’s still not it.

3. The rest of the offense, with the exception of a good tight end, is plug and play for a first round quarterback. Go get him in April.

5:55 PM: After a failed two-point conversion, Jaguars down just 16-14 going into halftime.

5:54 PM: HERE’S TO YOU, MR. ROBINSON!

5:35 PM: Jaguars defense holds on the next drive? We’re on offense down 16-8 in the second quarter.

5:32 PM: TOUCHDOWN JAMES ROBINSON! TWO-POINT CONVERSION JAMES ROBINSON! LET’S GO!

5:27 PM: The Jaguars have quit? LAVISKA SHENAULT DIDN’T GET THE MEMO!

5:21 PM: Chargers score again, this time it’s a former XFL star tight end.

5:07 PM: Chargers score the first touchdown of the game — a jet sweep by rookie wide receiver Joe Reed. Missed extra point though.

4:43 PM: Second drive, second straight three-and-out for the Jaguars. This one ended in a sack — with only three Chargers defensive linemen.

4:38 PM: A three-and-out by the Jaguars and a long drive by the Chargers means we’re down early. Los Angeles kicks a short field goal easily. Jaguars losing 3-0.

4:27 PM: CBS sideline reporter confirming that running back Chris Thompson tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday morning.

4:25 PM: And it’s game time. Jaguars on offense to start the game. Let’s do this.

3:04 PM: Jaguars inactives today — QB Jake Luton, S Jarrod Wilson, CB Luq Barcoo, LB Myles Jack, OL A.J. Cann, TE Tyler Davis, TE Tyler Eifert, and DL Daniel Ekuale.

Ben Bartch will start at right guard. Dakota Allen (of Last Chance U fame) will start at linebacker.

2:26 PM: Oh, what is this? The New York Jets are winning at halftime?!

12:35 PM: Absolutely terrifying. We’re praying for you, Ryquell.

6:03 AM: Oh dear. Is Mike Glennon going to see the field today? What about Jake Luton? There is no joy in Mudville.

6:00 AM: The injury report from Friday is... not encouraging. Myles Jack is out. Jarrod Wilson is out. Tyler Eifert is out. If this team is going to win, it’s going to be with backups.
