2020 NFL odds Week 5: Jaguars are 6.0 point underdogs vs. Texans

The Jacksonville Jaguars are currently 6.0 point underdogs on the road against the winless Houston Texans, but I expect that line to inch a little further away as people realize that the Texans will have Deshaun Watson throwing against a depleted Jacksonville secondary.

That’s according to Bovada, who has the over/under set at 54.0 points.

In short, Vegas thinks the Texans win with a score around 30-24.

Traditionally, the home team in NFL games are given a free three points and then the line goes from there, so this is saying that the Jaguars would lose to the Texans by a field goal on a neutral field and... buddy... we would lose by a lot more.

As I said, I think this line is going to get further away from Jacksonville but not by much — it was -6.5 this afternoon and I think it gets back there or even up to -7.0 or so.

We are about to get boat raced by an angry Texans team led by the best quarterback in the division now free of Bill O’Brien.

My God.

Bet your mortgage on the Texans to win by at least a touchdown.
