First of all... how dare you, Jake Luton? We were in the green. We had the cover. All you had to do was lie down and take the eight-point loss like a man. But you didn’t. You just had to have a near game-tying drive with mere seconds to play. Do you feel better about yourself, Jake? Do you?
We are an even .500 after nine weeks of play.
How does Week 10 look and what are the best games to throw some money at? Let’s check it out!
Note: I used Bovada odds on Thursday afternoon.
Los Angeles Chargers vs. Miami Dolphins (over 48.5)
In three of the last five games, the Chargers have put up at least 31 points — and it would have been four if not for a heartbreaking loss in the final seconds last week. The Dolphins can match them too. And best of all, both defenses are a bit suspect.
Bet on this to be a high-scoring game.
Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Rams (over 54.5)
The Seahawks pass defense is struggling and I think Jared Goff will take advantage of that with a lot of dink and dunk passes to a lot of different receivers. I think the Seahawks ultimately win, but the prospect of betting on a high-scoring NFC South game is too tempting.
Bet on this to be a high-scoring game too.
Baltimore Ravens (-7.0) at New England Patriots
I watched the Patriots struggle to beat Joe Flacco a few days ago. I don’t think this one is even close.
Bet your mortgage on the Ravens to blow them out of the water.
Green Bay Packers (-13.5) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
It’s a big line and it’s deserved. Aaron Rodgers is leading a top-10 passing unit in the NFL with his best target being Davante Adams, who has been giving even good secondary units fits. What will they do to this Jaguars defensive backfield?
Bet your mortgage on the Packers to win by two touchdowns.
Overall: 18-18-0 (50.0%)
Bet Your Mortgage: 4-5-0 (44.4%)
