2020 NFL odds Week 11: Jaguars are 10-point underdogs vs. Steelers

NFL: Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The Jacksonville Jaguars are currently 10-point underdogs for their Week 11 home matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

I don’t even want to imagine what the line would be in Pittsburgh.

It’s the second straight week of being a double-digit underdog and even with a hard-fought game yesterday it’s deserved — the Steelers are undefeated and the Jaguars are on an eight-game losing streak. Jacksonville’s defense played out of its mind against Green Bay but it never felt like the offense could close the deal. That’s to be expected starting a sixth round rookie at quarterback and having a weapon like Laviska Shenault out with an injury.

Anyway, that’s all according to Bovada, who has the over/under set at 46.0 points.

In short, Vegas thinks the Steelers win with a score around 28-17.

Traditionally, the home team in NFL games are given a free three points and then the line goes from there, so this is saying that the Jaguars would lose by two scores away. The team has looked more competent in recent weeks, but I still think that’s a fair margin of victory.

Jacksonville covered the spread yesterday and it wasn’t the same fluke it was in Week 8 with a last minute drive against a Houston Texans secondary that had quit — this was a battle back and forth with lead changes galore. I think the team has moved firmly out of “they won’t cover, just bet the mortgage against them” territory.

What do you think? Are you betting the line on either team? Or are you going over or under? Let us know in the comments below!
